Captain Ron Malast, C/V Big Dipper

Ron Malast Captain Ron Malast has operated a charter boat in Ilwaco for 10 years and has been running the Big Dipper,for the past 6 years. His specialties include Albacore Tuna, Halibut, salmon, bottom fish & sturgeon. Previously, he has run fishing trips out of Yakutat, Alaska.He is an outdoor writer for the Chinook Observer writing a weekly column titled “Fish & Feathers”. Residing in Surfside, with his wife Lone for the past 19 years. He enjoys fishing, bird hunting, clamming and just about any activity experienced on the Long Beach Peninsula.
